WHAT HAPPENED?

The Argentine superstar is playing with a smile on his face again at present, on the back of his 2022 World Cup triumph, and is enjoying life in the United States following a summer move to Inter Miami. He has settled quickly in America alongside wife Antonela and his three children Thiago, Mateo and Ciro.

The Messis have splashed out on a lavish waterfront home in Florida, with the 36-year-old revealing that he will always be seen barefoot inside that abode as he takes his shoes off before entering a house. Quizzed by on his routines behind the scenes, Messi said: “I do not know. I have worse ones, but I prefer to keep them.”

He did lift the lid on his night time routine, adding: “Before going to sleep, I leave the entire table ready for the next day. Breakfast… everyone in their place, always sit in the same place, everyone has their place at the table, the kids, Antonela, me.”

WHAT THEY SAID

Alongside keeping his dining table organised, Messi has revealed that his diet is not always as healthy as you would expect for an elite professional athlete. He said when asked to pick out his favourite foods: “I am very simple when it comes to meals: asado, milanesa, pasta, chocolate, dulce de leche, ice cream… I like everything that is sweet, I’m in love with it. I try to eat little but every now and then I like it.”
