The Red Devils managed to secure the signature of the young French defender from Lille last week for £52 million ($68m). The 18-year-old had offers from several top clubs across Europe including reigning Champions League winners Real Madrid, however, he decided to join United in the end.

Speaking to MUTV, the teenager revealed the match he saw that convinced him to pick a move to the English giants. "When I saw the FA Cup win at the end of the season, for me, I really wanted to be with them because to win titles and celebrate with the fans – it's incredible," he explained.

Yoro had earlier stated that he considers former United star Raphael Varane to be an inspiration while ex-England international and club legend Rio Ferdinand spoke highly of the Premier League side and convinced him to sign on the dotted line.

The French centre-back made his Man Utd debut in the club's second pre-season friendly against Rangers in Scotland last week. He has now travelled to the United States with Erik ten Hag's side and will be next seen in action on Saturday against Arsenal in Los Angeles.
