Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to criticise Roy Hodgson. The Eagles succumbed to their eighth Premier League defeat of the season as Southampton recorded their fifth win in seven league games, thanks to goals from Nathan Redmond and Stuart Armstrong,
The result leaves the south Londoners in 11th place with 30 points to their name, and it also leaves the Eagles in a perilous position in terms of their goalscoring ability.
Following the 2-0 defeat, Hodgson’s side have now scored the second-fewest amount of goals with 22 to their name in 24 Premier League outings – only Watford have netted less.
The loss to Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men was quite frankly embarrassing, as the Eagles failed to have a single shot on target while they also only had 43.8% of the ball in front of their own supporters.
It truly was an underwhelming performance from the south Londoners – especially in front of the Selhurst Park faithful – as a result, the supporters on Twitter have aimed their frustrations at one man.
To begin the reaction, Liam said that Hodgson “completely let himself down” with his tactics against Southampton, before saying that “we must be the easiest team in the” Premier League to prepare for.
Elsewhere, these three supporters expressed a tiredness over Hodgson.
Tom begged the club to sack the former England manager, whereas Paul said that the 72-year-old is “clueless” and that he is “fed up of his boring tactics”.
Also, Mark said that the sooner Hodgson and the American owners – Josh Harris and David Blitzer – leave the club the better – it’s safe to say that this trio do not hold the former Liverpool manager in high regard right now.
Lastly, these two fans also aimed their frustration at Hodgson.

Scott said that, while the experienced boss has been brilliant for Crystal Palace, he is also a “dinosaur”.
Nick added that the former West Brom manager’s football against Southampton was “atrocious” – it is clear that these six supporters are not happy with the experienced manager right now.
