Manchester United are reportedly weighing up a player-plus-cash bid for Victor Osimhen, who spent the past season on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli.

According to Il Napolista, United are in talks with Serie A champions Napoli over a proposed transfer which would send Hojlund to Italy and see Osimhen relocate to Old Trafford. The Nigerian striker is one of the most desired strikers on the market this summer, having left Napoli in acrimonious fashion when he joined Galatasaray on loan.

Holjund, meanwhile, has endured a tough start to his career at United. After signing from Atalanta for an initial £64m in 2023, the 22-year-old has scored 26 goals in 95 appearances in all competitions and has been criticised for a lack of composure in the final third.

Osimhen is expected to return to Naples in the coming days, having lifted the Turkish Super Lig title while at Galatasaray. The 26-year-old, who bagged 36 goals at Rams Park, is also said to have a massive offer on the table from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal which could see him feature in the Club World Cup this summer.
